MONTREAL - CGI Group Inc. says it has signed a $69-million contract to upgrade the information and communications technology system used in public schools in Oslo, Norway.
The contract is for six years, with the option of renewal for two more years.
The Montreal-based company (TSX:GIB.A) says the cloud-based system will offer 200 educational applications to more than 50,000 workstations and is compatible with Windows and Mac computers, tablets and smartphones.
There are more than 90,000 students in Oslo's 172 public schools sand learning centres.
