Bankers Petroleum Ltd. (TSX:BNK). Oil and gas. Up 59 cents, or 8.99 per cent, to $7.15 on 5.2 million shares.
Fortis Inc. Utilities. Down 30 cents, or 0.83 per cent, to $35.97 on 4.5 million shares.
Semafo Inc. (TSX:SMF). Miner. Up 16 cents, or 4.16 per cent, to $4.01 on 4.2 million shares.
Alterra Power Corp. Oil and gas. Up one cent, or 3.23 per cent, to 32 cents on four million shares.

Valeant Pharmaceuticals International, Inc. (TSX:VRX). Health products, pharmaceuticals. Down $1.25, or 0.91 per cent, to $136.78 on 664,885 shares. Botox-maker Allergan has unanimously rejected an improved takeover offer from Valeant Pharmaceuticals and once again slammed the door on discussions. Allergan said Tuesday that the new offer still undervalues the California-based company and creates significant risks and uncertainties for its shareholders.
