California educator accused on YouTube arrested shortly after sexual abuse charges filed

RIVERSIDE, Calif. - A California school administrator charged with felony sexual abuse after a former student aired allegations in a YouTube video has been arrested.

Riverside County district attorney's spokesman John Hall says a sheriff's team arrested 40-year-old Andrea Cardosa at about 5:45 p.m. in the city of Perris Monday night. She's expected to be arraigned Thursday.

A $5 million arrest warrant was issued earlier Monday after Cardosa was charged earlier Monday with 16 counts of sexually abusing two girls, including the now-28-year-old woman who posted the video, which has nearly a million views on YouTube.

Cardosa's lawyer, Randy Collins, said after charges were filed that he couldn't immediately comment because prosecutors hadn't informed him yet. In a second attempt to reach him after the arrest, Collins' phone was not accepting messages.
