Most actively traded companies on the TSX, TSX Venture Exchange markets

TORONTO - Some of the most active companies traded Friday on the Toronto Stock Exchange and the TSX Venture Exchange:

Toronto Stock Exchange (13,888.21 up 56.63 points):

Bombardier Inc. (TSX:BBD.B). Transportation equipment. Down six cents, or 1.44 per cent, to $4.11 on 24.1 million shares. The stock was down for a second day on very heavy volume after the company announced Thursday that first deliveries of its CSeries commercial jets would be delayed, possibly by as much as 15 months.

Canexus Corp. (TSX:CUS). Chemicals. Down 13 cents, or 2.17 per cent, to $5.86 on 6.7 million shares.

B2Gold Corp. (TSX:BTO). Miner. Up 21 cents, or 8.30 per cent, to $2.74 on 6.6 million shares.

Osisko Mining Corp. (TSX:OSK). Miner. Up 22 cents, or 3.52 per cent, to $6.47 on 6.2 million shares.

Teranga Gold Corp. (TSX:TGZ) Miner. Up two cents, or 3.17 per cent, to 65 cents on 5.5 million shares.

BlackBerry Ltd. (TSX:BB) Wireless communications. Up 61 cents, or 6.51 per cent, to $9.98 on 5.2 million shares.

Toronto Venture Exchange (976.34 up 1.70 points):

Q Investments Ltd. (TSXV:QI). Oil and gas. Up six cents, or 150 per cent, to 10 cents on 13.3 million shares.

Excelsior Mining Corp. (TSXV:MIN). Miner. Up 43 cents, or 358.33 per cent, to 55 cents on 13.3 million shares.

Companies reporting major news:

Dollarama Inc. (TSX:DOL). Budget retailer. Down 34 cents, or 0.41 per cent, to $82.74 on 842,533 shares. The national dollar-store chain provided the latest signal that the fourth quarter will be a challenge for Canada's retail sector after the Montreal-based company said December sales were severely impacted by bad weather. Dollarama said comparable-store sales in the busiest month of the year were down 7.5 per cent from a year earlier.

Saputo Inc. (TSX:SAP). Dairy. Up 87 cents, or 1.68 per cent, to $52.55 on 308,195 shares. The dairy giant has signed a $61-million deal to buy the milk business of Nova Scotia's Scotsburn Co-Operative Services. The purchase, subject to approval from co-operative members, is expected to close around March.
