West Kelowna Warriors forward Chase Dafoe now knows where the next leg of his hockey journey will take him.
The 19-year-old has inked a commitment to flash his hockey skills at Providence University beginning next season.
Dafoe, a former captain with the Trail Smoke Eaters, has put up 18 points over 28 games in his first season with the Warriors.
“We are very happy for Chase and his family”, said Warriors head coach Simon Ferguson.
“Chase competes at a high level every game, playing in all situations while bringing leadership to the dressing room.”
Dafoe, a native of Beverly, Mass, says he's excited for the future.
“It’s been a dream of mine to finally commit. I knew coming to the Warriors I’d have a great chance at getting this commitment and I couldn’t be happier right now,"said Dafoe.
"Providence is around Boston and that’s where I grew up out in Beverly Mass. That’s a very good conference and I think it’s a great fit for me.
“I would like to thank my family, friends, my coaches, teammates and everyone involved in the West Kelowna Warriors organization.”
