Vipers tame Wild

The Vernon Vipers tamed the Wild Friday evening, trouncing their BC Hockey League opponents 3-0 in Wenatchee.

The win also ends a three-game losing skid for the Viper who currently sit at the bottom of the BCHL Interior Division.

Teddy Wooding opened scoring for the Vipers at the six-minute mark of the opening frame.

Three minutes later, Michale Young put the Vipers ahead by two before Matt Kowalski scored at the 19-minute mark of the third.

Bradley Cooper, who was recently acquired from the Prince George Spruce Kings, recorded his first shut out as Viper.

The Wild will have a shot at redemption tonight when the two teams meet at in Wenatchee.
