Pair of Vipers make the cut

Vernon Vipers' Jack Judson and Alex Swetlikoff have earned a  spot on Team Canada West at the World Junior A Challenge in Bonnyville.

Following a  gold medal win last year, this will be the 2nd Team Canada West appearance for Swetlikoff.

Judson will get his first chance to represent his country.

Judson and Swetlikoff will join 12 other BCHLers on the roster.

The World Junior A Challenge welcomes the top Junior A talent from four countries.

From Dec. 9-16, the teams – Team Canada East, Team Canada West, the Czech Republic, Russia and the United States – will compete in 14 games over eight days at the 1,800-seat R.J. Lalonde Arena.

Team Canada West will kick off the tournament on Dec. 9 at 7 p.m. MT,  opening its quest for a second-straight gold medal against the United States.
