Newly acquired goalie, Bradley Cooper, made his first appearance in net for Vernon Vipers Wednesday in a 2-1 loss to Prince George.
Cooper stopped 31 of 32 shots he faced in net, earning the games third star for his efforts.
Cooper was part of a deal that sent forward Garrett Worth to Prince George.
The close game was scoreless until 7:22 of the third period when Prince George jumped ahead 1-0.
Vernon kept the game close, pulling Cooper for an extra attacker. Prince George potted an empty net goal at 18:48 to go up 2-0.
Vernon was able to get one past the Spruce Kings goalie, as Teddy Wooding scored at 19:27.
It is the second straight loss for the Vipers. Up next, a home game Saturday night against division rivals West Kelowna.
In other Vipers' news, Jack Judson and Alex Swetlikoff have each earned a spot on Team Canada West.
They will join 12 other BCHLers on the roster.
The World Junior A Challenge welcomes the top Junior A talent from four countries.
Judson, Swetlikoff and Team Canada West kick off the tournament this Saturday, Dec. 9 at 7 p.m.
Swetlikoff was part of Team Canada West last year, winning gold medal against the United States.
