The Surrey Eagles soared past the Vernon Vipers with a 6-5 overtime win Wednesday at Kal Tire Place.
Jesse Lansdell led the charge for the Vipers in the high-scoring affair, potting two goals in the losing effort.
Singles came from Michael Young, Josh Latta and Teddy Wooding.
The Vipers were only 15 seconds away from victory when the Eagles scored, forcing the overtime frame.
The Vipers will now have a few days to regroup before heading to Chilliwack to take on the Chiefs at 2 p.m. Sunday.
