RJ Murphy certainly has a flair for the dramatic.
The rookie West Kelowna Warriors forward scored his third overtime winner in five weeks Friday in a come-from-behind 5-4 victory in Wenatchee.
In fact, three of Murphy's last four goals have been overtime winners, including those in wins last month at home against both Wenatchee and Penticton.
Newly acquired Ryan Steele picked up the lone assist on the game-winner, scored 40 seconds into the four-on-four overtime period.
Friday's win was the Warriors third straight, all on the road, guaranteeing they will finish a season high six straight on the road with no worse than a .500 record.
The Warriors spotted Wenatchee an early 2-0 lead before roaring back with two of their own from defencemen Stephen Kleyson and Michael Ryan.
Jasper Weatherby restored Wenatchee's one-goal lead with a power play marker 13 minutes into the first.
Jared Marino got that one back with the lone goal of the second, his 18th of the season.
Kleyson with his second, and Sam Morton traded third period goals, tying the game at four and setting the stage for Murphy's overtime heroics.
Nik Amundrud turned away 40 of 44 shots to earn the victory.
The same two teams will meet again Saturday in Wenatchee.
The Warriors head home following Saturday's game before hosting the Vernon Vipers Tuesday in their first home game of 2018.
