Warriors continue to tinker

The West Kelowna Warriors continue to tinker with their roster.

The B.C. Hockey League club announced today it has sent 19-year-old forward Peter Tomaras to the Waywayseecappo Wolverines of the Manitoba Junior Hockey League for future considerations.

In 16 games this season, Tomaras scored three times an added a pair of assists. Over a season-plus, Tomaras had 20 points in 61 games.

The move leaves the Warriors with 21 players on the active roster, along with two on injured reserve.

“Peter is a character kid and plays with his heart on his sleeve,” said Warriors head coach and general manager Rylan Ferster. “We want to wish him all the best in Waywayseecappo.”

The Warriors will put their six-game home-ice winning streak on the line when they host the Penticton Vees, Friday.
