Kal Tire Place will take on a European flare when the Vernon Vipers host the Red Bull Salzburg of Austria (U-20) Jan. 25.
The Austrian team is on a BCHL tour.
It's the first time in six years an international club has visited Vernon. During the 09-10 hockey season, Sweden's U-18 team faced the six-time national champion Vipers.
Red Bull Salzburg, like BCHL squads, include players born anywhere from 1995 to 1999. Most of the players are Austrian, but some are German as well, says a Vipers press release.
