More accolades for Warriors Cotton

Another honour for West Kelowna Warriors forward, Jason Cotton.

On Monday Cotton was named the BC Hockey League's player for the week ending Jan 26.

The 19-year-old Plano, TX native led the Warriors to an undefeated weekend road trip (2-0-1-0).

Cotton compiled seven points over the three games.

He had the double-overtime winner to go along with an assist in a 5-4 win in Victoria Friday, a goal in a 5-2 win in Port Alberni Saturday and a goal and three assists during Sunday's wild 7-7 tie in Chilliwack.

The four point night in Chilliwack included assists on David Pope's two goals in the final minute of regulation time which sent the game into overtime.

Cotton had previously been named the BCHL Player of the Month, and Warriors Player of the Month in October.

He also was named the CHL's third star that same month.

Jason leads the Warriors in scoring with 21 goals, and 29 assists, through 40 games.

He was recently ranked 118th overall in the mid-season NHL Draft Rankings.
