Six people have been charged in what RCMP are calling a brutal and sexual assault of a Prince George boy, and the assault of a second boy on Jan.7, 2013.

Hayden Lee Alwood, 18, and Mercedes Rae Jewett, 20, three male youths aged 15 and 17 and one female youth aged 15 have all been charged with Aggravated Sexual Assault, Aggravated Assault, Assault Causing Bodily Harm and two counts of unlawful confinements.

Provincial Crown Counsel will be reviewing the file and may amend charges in the coming days. The names of those under the age of 18 cannot be released and no further information about the victims will be released in order to protect their identity.

Jewett will appear in court later today – all other suspects have been remanded into custody until Jan. 16.
