Operation Red Nose is back on BC roads again this year until December 31st, making sure motorists get home safe into the late hours of the night.  

 

For its 17th campaign in British Columbia Operation Red Nose, supported by the  Insurance Corporation of  British Columbia, is present in 13 host communities.  During the last weekend of operation, more than 1,680 BC motorists let Rudy take the wheel.  Since the beginning of the campaign Operation Red Nose’s volunteers provided 6,320 safe rides throughout the province.

 

Are you planning to celebrate in December?  Is your office having a party next weekend?  Then plan to call Operation Red Nose to get volunteers to drive you home in your own vehicle.  The phone numbers to get the service are posted on the national ORN website.

 

“TELUS has supported Operation Red Nose for many years; providing thousands of B.C. residents an alternative means of transportation after a night of holiday cheer is not only a safe, convenient option for getting home, it can also be a life-saving one,” said Jill Schnarr, TELUS vice-president of Community Investment and Engagement.

 

“This festive season, TELUS is providing Operation Red Nose more than 280 activated smartphones for volunteers, which will enable even better communication with each other and the public.
