Lake claims fisherman

A 64-year-old fisherman is dead after falling from a boat while fishing in Leighton Lake north of Logan Lake.
The incident occurred Tuesday.
The victim has been identified as James Cecil Smith of Sorrento.
Police from Logan Lake attended the scene along the BC Ambulance after receiving reports the man had fallen from his boat while fishing.
Boaters in the area heard cries for help and were able to locate the man near his boat, however, efforts to revive him were unsuccessful.
Members of the RCMP and BC Coroners Service are continuing to investigate.
