Violin from 1772 recovered

Acting on information gathered during their investigation, the Burnaby RCMP Strike Force was able to recover the violin, the bow, the case and a song book from a residence on 19th Avenue in Southeast Burnaby.

The violin is described as a Joseph Nadotti Fecit from 1772. The bow was valued at $3000. The thief also took  two lap tops from the vehicle.

The property belonged to a musician who had a concert performance next month and she was very worried about her violin.

None of the other property has been located. No charges have yet been laid; however, the investigation is still ongoing.

The violin has been returned to the victim through a friend who lives in Burnaby.
