A fiery head-on crash east of Prince George has killed one person and closed Highway 16 until further notice.
The crash near Tabor Mountain, about 30 kilometres east of Prince George, occurred at around 8 a.m.
Prince George RCMP say an eastbound passenger car slammed into a westbound pickup truck and one of the two burst into flames.
There's no word, yet, which vehicle carried the victim, or how many people may have been involved.
Police say the highway will remain closed for at least several hours while an investigation is underway.
