Highway 1 is closed near Golden due to a rock slide.

The road is closed in both directions 11.7 km east of Golden, a detour is in effect along Highway 95 and Highway 93.

DriveBC states there is equipment working on site and a Geo-technical engineer is on route to assess. The estimated time of opening to single lane alternating traffic is noon.
