MacDonald, Dettwiler and Associates Ltd. (TSX: MDA) says has signed a contract to provide training support to the British Army for an undisclosed price.
The space and satellite technology developer said Tuesday it will provide services including capturing video using small unmanned aircraft.
The video will be transmitted in real-time to soldiers on remote terminals, training them in surveillance aircraft and the use of the information collected.
The exercises will be conducted from June to October 2012, with an option for an additional year.
MDA provides information solutions that capture and process data for business and government organizations worldwide.
