Smoke is billowing over the Lions Gate Bridge, resulting from a fire at a homeless camp under the north end of the bridge.
Footage from CTV Vancouver's Chopper 9 shows what appear to be wooden pallets on fire.
Police were trying to evacuate people in the camp from the area.
Firefighters told CTV they were not sure if there were explosive materials on the site, and kept a safe distance away.
It's unclear how many people live at the homeless camp. The cause has not yet been determined.
