Three earthquakes struck northwest of Vancouver Island Wednesday.
The first struck just before 3 p.m. about 188 kilometres west of Port Hardy, registering a 4.1 on the Richter Scale.
Later that day, just after 4:30 p.m., a 5.1-magnitude earthquake struck in a similar location, followed by a 4.0-magnitude quake just before 5 p.m.
All three of the quakes occurred at a depth of 10 km.
There was no damage as a result of any of the earthquakes, and no tsunami was created.
