The evacuation order for 57 properties in the Houseman Road area just outside 100 Mile House has been lifted.
"With the recent rain and the efforts of BC Wildfire Service crews, the CRD’s Forest Grove Volunteer Fire Department and contract crews, the Houseman Road fire is being held and 100 per cent contained," stated the Cariboo Regional District Emergency Operations Centre.
The lightning-caused Houseman Road fire was sparked August 9 and grew to roughly 19.5 hectares.
