Police have arrested a suspect who allegedly was taking pictures in a women's washroom at British Columbia Institute of Technology.
The suspect was arrested on BCIT's Burnaby campus Monday.
According to an email sent to staff and students, an "unknown male was observed using a cell phone to capture images" in the washroom.
Police found the suspect and took him into custody, so far no further details have been released.
"BCIT has a very strong moral and legal obligation to protect student and staff privacy and confidentiality," the email said. "In keeping with this obligation and the requirements of an ongoing police investigation, we will not be releasing any specific information about the individuals or the incident."
BCIT has indicated that security has been increased.
