BC Wildfire Service crews are currently fighting a roughly 10-hectare fire near the small village of Cedarvale, B.C. on the Skeena River, which sparked Saturday.
They say no structures are currently threatened, though heavy smoke is visible along Highway 16.
The Cedarvale-Kitwanga back road along the north side of the river is affected.
The fire service does not know the cause at this time, and is continuing to investigate.
