A man wielding a field hockey stick went on a violent rampage in downtown Victoria Wednesday night.
At least three people were taken to hospital after a string of attacks spread over several blocks.
The violence erupted just before 10 p.m., as police received reports of a man running near Pandora and Store streets, hitting people with the stick. More injuries were reported on Government and Douglas streets.
Paramedics tended to multiple victims in the Bastion Square area, several with head injuries.
A suspect was arrested near Douglas and Humboldt streets.
