Ram runs rampant, rams tots

Two children were attacked and injured by a ram that escaped in Nanaimo.

The ram was on the loose on a street in South Wellington on Tuesday afternoon.

A resident was knocked to the ground by the large animal, which has reportedly escaped before.

Two preschool-aged children were attacked by the ram and sent to Nanaimo Regional General Hospital.

Police and the owner were able to corral the ram and return it home.

The ram’s owner said the animal normally rams her and she's used to it, but she told CTV News it can be intimidating to others.

Both children suffered bruising and are expected to be released from hospital.
