Chilliwack 'dispensary' raid

An alleged Chilliwack pot dispensary had a number of products seized by police.

On Feb. 21, a member of Chilliwack RCMP saw some 'suspicious' behaviour outside a business on Yale Road. That activity was reported to Chilliwack Crime Reduction Unit.

Later that evening, CRU officers, the Prolific Offender Suppress Team issued a warrant and seized a large amount of suspected marijuana, cannabis edibles, oils, pills, cash and business records. No arrests have been made, however, RCMP will submit its investigation to Crown Council for possible charges.

"An alert officer, a timely investigation by CRU, and the coordinated effort of police resources were essential to preventing drugs from reaching the streets of our community,” says Cpl. Mike Rail.

RCMP remind everyone who witnesses anything they believe to be suspicious in nature to contact the Chilliwack RCMP at  604-792-4611, or to remain anonymous, call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
