S'no common sense here

Police in Vancouver are shaking their heads after pulling over a motorist driving with a windshield covered in snow.

Const. Jason Doucette says he was taken aback by the driver’s excuse.

“I left the snow on the windshield. But don’t worry. I’ve moved my seat up. I can see over it,” the driver apparently told Doucette, who handed out a ticket and fine for the obstruction.

Drivers are reminded that windshields must be clear of snow and ice before driving off.

Doucette says even small patches of snow and ice could block a driver's view of a pedestrian stepping into traffic.

“It’s a safety issue. Common sense just has to kick in," he said.
