Realtor Kam Rai, 32, was killed in a brazen mid-day shooting in Vancouver's Kerrisdale neighbourhood on Thursday.
The victim of a brazen, fatal mid-day shooting earlier this week in a wealthy Vancouver neighbourhood has been identified.
Kaminder Rai, 32, was shot just before 1 p.m. on Thursday in Kerrisdale, on Marguerite Street near West 49th Avenue. He was taken to hospital in critical condition and passed away later in the day.
Rai was a realtor for nine years at Planet Group Realty. The company said it is "shocked and saddened" by his passing.
Investigators believe Rai's killing was not random.
The shooting — Vancouver's sixth of 2018 — forced two nearby schools to go into lockdown and shocked residents of the usually-quiet neighbourhood.
No arrests have been made as a result of the incident.
