HOV dummy busted

Don't be a dummy in the HOV lane.

Police pulled over a driver for speeding on the Trans-Canada Highway between Surrey and Langley this week.

And when the officer approached the car, it became obvious his passenger was a mannequin dressed in a hoodie, wig and sunglasses.

"This is one of those cases where the RCMP got their mannequin," RCMP said in a press release. "The passenger exercised the right to remain silent."

The driver of the vehicle was issued several tickets, and the mannequin was seized.

HOV lanes in Metro Vancouver require at least two people in the vehicle, and in some instances three.
