Man stabbed in Surrey

Police are currently on scene of a reported stabbing in the city centre area of Surrey.

Staff Sgt. D. Honeyman said on Jan. 2 at approximately 5:47 p.m., Surrey RCMP responded to a report of a stabbing in the 10600 block of 135A Street.

“Upon arrival, officers located a male suffering from a stab wound who was transported to local area hospital in serious condition,” said Honeyman.

“A potential suspect was pointed out to police and has been taken in to police custody at this time.”

Officers are speaking with potential witnesses to obtain further information in order to determine what had led up to this altercation.
