Charges have now been laid after a brawl between a group of Duncan students earlier this week.
The fight was caught on camera Monday near the James Street campus of Cowichan Secondary School.
The video which made the rounds on social media shows a fight between two boys that escalates to the point where one of the youths is being kicked on the ground.
CTV Vancouver Island is reporting the RCMP placed conditions on those charged ordering them to abstain from contact with the victim and with each other, as well as to keep the peace and remain on good behaviour.
The violence resulted in Cowichan Tribes and city officials issuing a joint statement saying they would plan additional programs aimed at combatting racism in local schools.
