Child finds gun in bushes

Police are investigating after a child found a loaded handgun in some bushes in Mission.

The weapon was found by a three-year-old boy near a Tim Hortons in the Fraser Valley community.

His mother posted a warning on Facebook after the boy picked up the loaded revolver on Halloween.

RCMP confirmed the discovery was made near the Tim Hortons on 1st Avenue and are trying to determine if the weapon had been used in a crime.
