Lougheed Highway and the rail overpass at Barnet Highway are both closed following a crash.
Coquitlam RCMP report that just after 2 p.m., a truck collided with a section of the CP Rail overpass, damaging the structure in the collision.
Both the track and highway have been closed pending a safety assessment.
The closure is expected to remain in place through the evening rush hour.
Lougheed Highway is shut down in both directions between Barnet Highway and Dewdney Trunk Road.
The West Coast Express train is setting up a bus bridge from Coquitlam Station.
