PGA swings into Valley

The pros are coming to town.

PGA of British Columbia announced the 2017 competition schedule with seven tournaments.

The association will host its championships in six different communities across the province, including ones in Salmon Arm, Oliver and Kamloops.

Hundreds of members will compete against each other and alongside players from their own clubs.

“The events are also excellent opportunities for professionals to network with peers, partners and industry leaders, to promote participation by junior and amateur players, and to bring increased exposure to PGA of B.C. golf facilities,” says the press release.

This year's competition will kick off in late May and will last until September.

  • Nicklaus North Golf Course, Whistler on May 29
  • Salmon Arm Golf Club, Salmon arm on June 5 to 6
  • Fairview Mountain Golf Club, Oliver on June 10 to 11
  • Rivershoer Golf Links, Kamloops on July 24
  • Capilano Golf & Country Club, West Vancouver on Aug 24 to 25
  • Victoria Golf Club, Victoria on Sept. 18 to 19

Space is limited so the association reminds players to sign up quickly for the tournaments.
