Kidnapped man found alive

A man who was kidnapped while two others were murdered in East Vancouver on Sept. 17 has been found alive by police, and three men were taken into custody Monday.

Vancouver Police were called to Dieppe Place just before 10 p.m. on Saturday to find a dead man and woman, later identified as 24-year-old Xuan Vanvy Bacao and 29-year-old Samantha Le.

A four-year-old child was also found unharmed in the house.

Police determined a man had also been kidnapped during the incident.

Through an investigation across multiple municipalities in the Lower Mainland, police found the kidnapping victim, and arrested three men on Monday afternoon.

The arrested men, all in their 20s, remain in custody, but the VPD continue to search for more people involved. Police have recommended several charges against the suspects.

The murders and kidnapping are believed to have been targeted.
