Man shot and killed

UPDATE: 12:30 p.m.

CTV reports that one man was killed and another was injured in what officials are calling a “targeted attack” in Surrey Saturday night.

The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team confirmed that they are investigating the attack.

"While we believe this to be a targeted shooting, police are working on confirming the motive for this attack and finding who is responsible," says Sgt. Jennifer Pound.

The two men have been identified and police are currently looking to complete the next-of-kin notification before the identity of the deceased is released.

Surrey RCMP are on the scene this morning after reports came in of shots fired Saturday night

At approximately 10:19 p.m. on July 23, Surrey RCMP responded to the 14300 block of 90A Avenue.

“Officers attended and located two victims suffering from gun-shot wounds who have been transported for medical treatment,” says Sgt. Honeyman.

“Officers are on scene conducting neighbourhood canvassing and speaking to witnesses to obtain further information regarding this incident.”

RCMP say the investigation is still in its very early stages and there will be traffic disruptions in the area.
