Coroner names ATV victim

The B.C. Coroners Service has confirmed the identity of a woman who died following an ATV incident near Castlegar.

Nicole Anne Rodrigues, 32, of Castlegar died June 11.

Rodrigues was driving an ATV on Gladstone Forest Service Road, about 40 kilometres from Castlegar, when she lost control and went down an eight-metre embankment.

When she did not meet up with a fellow rider as planned, he began searching for her. She was found the next morning, pinned under the machine.

Rodrigues was deceased at the scene.

The Coroners Service and RCMP continue to investigate the death.
