A transport truck caught fire on the Coquihalla Highway overnight, temporarily blocking eastbound traffic near Merritt.
The fire happened about midnight Saturday.
Castanet reader Tera Pemberton came upon the scene at midnight and reports emergency crews arrived minutes later.
Eastbound lanes of traffic were blocked by the fire, but traffic was still flowing westbound.
A single lane of eastbound traffic was opened up about 10 minutes later.
There is no word yet on the cause of the fire or any injuries.
