Fireball monkey business

A large explosion rocked Richmond Tuesday, sending a huge fireball into the sky.

But, the blast was nothing to fear.

It was caused by a film crew shooting a scene for the upcoming motion picture “War for the Planet of the Apes."

According to CTV, residents of the area were warned an incident may take place. But that didn't stop many people from taking to social media with concern about the explosion.

Some even called into local radio stations to tip them off.

Shooting for the film began in the Vancouver area in October, and the film is scheduled to be released next summer.
