Semi fire snarls Coquihalla

Eastbound traffic was slowed on the Coquihalla Highway this afternoon after a semi caught fire.

The fire occurred mid-afternoon near the summit of the highway.

Traffic was reduced to one lane while emergency crews dealt with the rig.

One witness said the semi was carrying a load of toilet paper.

No word on injuries.
