UPDATE 8:55 P.M.
Power to more than 1,800 BC Hydro customers in the Lumby area was restored shortly after 8:30 p.m. Monday.
Power is out to a large area of Lumby.
According to BC Hydro, power went off shortly before 7 p.m. affecting more than 1,800 customers.
Hydro crews have determined trees down on power lines caused the outage.
The affected area includes customers east and west of Highway 6 plus those south of Deuling Road and north of Headgates Road.
According to the utility's website, power is not expected to be restored until about 10 p.m. tonight.
