Legebokoff gets life sentence

Cody Alan Legebokoff has been sentenced to life in prison with no chance of parole for 25 years.

The sentence was handed down Tuesday morning in a Prince George courtroom.

According to Opinion 250 in Prince George, Justice Glen Parrett sentenced Legebokoff to 25 years in prison for each of the four murders he committed.

Legebokoff was found guilty of murdering Jill Stuchenko, Natasha Montgomery, Cynthia Maas and Loren Donn Leslie.

Parrett says the sentences are to be served concurrently – noting the accused can apply for a reduction in parole eligibility after 15 years.

Parrett, who at one point broke down during a review of the evidence, described Legebokoff as a man who “has demonstrated the absolute need to be separated from society.”
