Concrete issue forces closure

A section of Highway 99 northbound was blocked Tuesday because of a pavement issue that caused the road to buckle, reports CTV Vancouver.

The Ministry of Transportation said it was investigating the issue, just before the Oak Street Bridge.

The problem is close to the ramp from Bridgeport Road in Richmond. The right lane was closed as crews were brought in to assess the situation.

Drive BC said drivers should expect delays in the area.

It's believed a culvert collapsed, which created a large hole in the pavement on the side of the highway.
