Six new fires start over weekend

Six new fires were started this weekend, all of which are suspected to be human caused.
Kelsey Winter with BC Wildfire Management Branch said the fires are primarily located in Vernon and Salmon Arm.
She said there are also a couple in the Clearwater area as well.
Some of them are suspected to be due to non-compliance with the campfire ban.
"It's always disappointing when we hear about that kind of activity when it's so hot and dry out here," she said.
They have all been contained at spot size.
