Hwy. 1 & 97A reopen
1:15 a.m. update:
97A has reopened near Sicamous, Hwy. 1 is also open, but with one lane alternating.
Highway 1 is closed in both directions about 30 kilometres east of Sicamous.
According to DriveBC hydro lines are down, causing the highway closure.
Highway 97A is also affected in that area. DriveBC says it is closed in both directions two kilometres south of Sicamous for the same reason, downed hydro lines.
The estimated time of opening for both spots is currently between 11 p.m. and 1 a.m. tonight.
The next update is expected on Drive BC at 11 p.m.
