Highway 1 re-opened
Update 4:45 p.m.
Revelstoke RCMP say a semi truck was found on its side, blocking the highway near Three Valley Gap around 12 p.m.
The truck was hauling cargo eastbound when the driver lost control.
A 22-year-old man was the driver and sole occupant. He received minor injuries and has been charged with speeding relative to the conditions.
Traffic was diverted into Revelstoke throughout this road closure from the east. West bound traffic was held back on the western side of the accident.
UPDATE 2:30 P.M.
The crash at Three Valley Gap has been cleared and traffic is again flowing along the Trans Canada Highway.
DriveBC says motorists can expect heavy traffic volumes.
Witnesses at the crash scene indicate a semi had flipped on its side.

Traffic on the Trans-Canada highway has come to a stop due to a vehicle accident near Revelstoke.
The road is closed in both directions at Three Valley Gap after a semi truck jackknifed across the road.
An assessment is currently in progress and there is no estimated time of reopening.
