Dial-a-dope unplugged

An alleged cocaine dealer was arrested Friday night in Salmon Arm after trying to sell drugs to RCMP officers.

Salmon Arm RCMP said they received information about a dial-a-dope drug dealer and made contact with him on Friday night. They arranged to meet him at a residence near Highway 97B to buy some drugs.

The man who arrived at the residence had small quantities of cocaine packaged for sale.

Plainclothes police officers subsequently arrested him.

A 45-year-old Salmon Arm resident will be facing charges of cocaine trafficking.
