Alcohol does not appear to be a factor in the case of the missing boater.
Delta police are resuming their search for a missing boater on the Fraser River.
Officers and the coast guard responded to calls of a man in the water close to the Alex Fraser Bridge on Saturday evening.
Police arrived and found a boat near the bridge with a man on board.
Officers say the man told police his friend had fallen overboard while trying to free the boat from river mooring pilings.
The search was resumed this morning with a coast guard hovercraft and helicopter.
Alcohol does not appear to be a factor, but the missing man was not wearing a life jacket and was unable to swim.
